Hidden Costa Rica Treasures
If you ever happen to head to Costa Rica, you absolutely must check out this gem of a website I found called the Costa Rica Pages. They have all the websites, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses you could ever need in Costa Rica, including those for restaurants, schools, bars, banks, spas, hotels, real estate agents, tour operators, and dentists (should you ever develop a toothache from sampling all that delicious exotic food)! Check out the Costa Rica Real Estate or Costa Rica Property listings for example. I love how you don’t have to go through a hundred pages to find the information you need.
In their Costa Rica News blog, I especially loved reading the Hotel Reviews. They are written in a very conversational style - as though I am having a little chat with my friend and she is telling me about her experiences in Costa Rica. I wish they had guidebooks like these - it really pays off to learn about hotels from people who have actually stayed there and are able to give balanced reviews of their stay. I love how they’ve included pictures with each post too (unlike your typical guidebook which lists like a 100 hotels and puts up a teeny tiny picture of just one hotel in the corner). If you’re travelling to Costa Rica, this website is a must-see and without hesitation I give my own stamp of approval for it.
